About Fletch
Fletch Fletcher is a poet of observation and connection. In his work, he seeks answers about his place in nature, in society, in his family, and in his own skin. Fletcher’s work looks to natural science, philosophy, psychology, and any other study and attempts to blend it with the personal and interpersonal experiences he has or bears witness to.
Fletcher earned his MFA in 2012 in Poetry, working with and learning from incredible poets and people who fostered a deeper love and understanding for a discipline that demands depth as a starting point. His work has found homes in Peregrin Journal, Platform Review, Euphony Journal, and Havik Poetry among others. His first collection, Existing Science was published in 2021 by Assure Press. His most recent collection in 2024, Confessional, is published by Finishing Line Press
“…Tell me
there are galaxies in the black,
substance in the void,
even dark matters bleed.”
— “Dark Matter Galaxies”. Existing Science, 2021.

Fostering Young Creative Minds
Fletcher regularly works with students of all ages and skill levels on poetry and self-expression in after-school programs. He connects students with other amazing poets and finds new ways of expression by watching students find their way. If you are a poet in or near NYC, reach out and discuss collaboration in small workshops.
He is available to run workshops for your students too!
